Aria is an Italian designer born and raised in Milan, where they developed a passion for figurative and installation art. Entry into the fashion world came with work as a sewing laboratory assistant during high school followed by attendance at the Instituto Marangoni, where they specialized in menswear, tackling it with a genderless approach and a keen eye for sustainability.
In 2020, they were selected among 6 designers of Instituto Marangoni to design the upcycled capsule collection “Recynaissance”, in collaboration with Manteco Textiles.
Sustainability is the foundation of their design philosophy, which revolves around reimagining formal menswear, shaping it into an “any-gender” wear through a playful approach to volumes, colors and details. The clothes are made either through upcycling or using organic textiles, usually hand-dyed by the designer with natural dyeing processes whenever possible.
