This series of work explores the tension between instinct and gestural negotiation through layered colour fields, improvisational mark-making, and material interactions. Each line carries the weight of muscle memory, acting as a trace of confrontation or retreat. The paintings open a space where an alter ego of the gesture can emerge; bolder, looser, or more hesitant, producing compositions that hold doubt, confidence, and transformation in a state of continual flux.
